(206,424 posts)Since I spoke to a friend of mine when I just got up today who was asking me about the student loans announcement. Turns out it was the only legitimate announcement, the rest need to be passed by Congress - and that one was passed under Clinton with Joe Biden voting in favor and Al Gore casting the deciding vote.

(206,424 posts)She just got her Masters Degree in May and started a new job so it's been a big worry. She's a lifelong Democrat, just doesn't follow the news like I do, but I agree we need to get the word out there since Trump manages to bamboozle so many with his ill informed utterings.
The thing that really sends me over the edge is the way of life we're forced to live now, with no end in sight - and how there are so many out there who seem to be oblivious of the staggering death count in this country - and that we're one of the only few countries in the world which continues to be getting worse...

(206,424 posts)The rest of what he boasted about needs to be brought to and passed by Congress. That's a big "tell" with him, he views himself as an authoritarian "leader," like those dictators he admires. And those who are uninformed or bamboozled enough to take his word for anything are in for one rude awakening.
