And is enjoying every minute of this. Plus, he has more political guests on for the rest of the week! And if you didn't hear it, I loved John Legend's song - actually made me laugh out loud, exactly what we really need right now!

clapping, cheering, stamping their feet.

It made me feel less alone - like I was sane, not the world.

But as of last week, he has returned to what he calls his studio "office," so he's getting closer to the way it used to be. Broadcasting from home, he said that his wife was responsible for props, his daughter for makeup and his son ran the camera. Now that he's back in his office, he's happy to be reunited with staff and he said they did a stellar job setting this up.

I'm afraid I'm not good at ID'ing the superheroes, at least the fictional ones. This is what I have in order of appearance:

Joe Biden
Cory Booker
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Bernie Sanders
Michelle Obama
Pete Buttigieg -- Spiderman
Barack Obama -- Iron Man
Elizabeth Warren (?)
Kamala Harris
Asshole -- Thanos
John Kasich -- Groot

Joe Biden--Captain America-- an excellent choice as he is the tactical leader of the Avengers

Cory Booker --Dr. Strange. Not sure what I can add here.

AOC-- Mantis--I can't think that the character choice is especially apropo, but her face fit the image well enough.

Bernie Sanders--Drax--This is a funny choice. The character of Drax is sort of blunt, but not a strategist. He is kind of an anti-politician.

Michelle Obama--Pepper Potts. Great choice. She is married to Iron Man and humanizes him and helps him find clarity. She is not all "about that superhero life" (quoting War Machine, here), but when the situation is serious enough, she suits up and enters the fray.

Pete Buttigieg--Spiderman--This is another good choice. Spiderman is the fresh-faced kid of the Avengers.

Barack Obama--Iron Man--Good choice because of the connection with the Pepper Potts/Michelle Obama fusion. Obama isn't the oft-times obstinate egotist of Iron Man's Tony Stark, but Iron Man is the de facto leader of the Avengers.

Elizabeth Warren--Scarlet Witch--Damn powerful, but not burdened by a lot of ego.

Kamala Harris--Captain Marvel. A great match here, Captain Marvel is in some ways more powerful than Captain America. She is a fresh face to the Avengers and is a little more cynical that the WWII era Cap. She does not suffer fools.

Thanos--Trump. An obvious choice for villain, but even better when you dig deep. Thanos wants power to solve what he sees as the universe's problems on his terms. The feelings of other people barely register for him. His toadies slaughter people while telling them that they have been "honored" to fulfill Thanos' great visions. The real difference between Thanos and Trump (other than being identified by different secondary colors) is that Thanos is actually willing to relinquish power after achieving his narrow focus goals. For Trump, power itself may be the point.

Kasich --Groot. Visually funny, but I have no idea of how to analyze the pairing.

Whoever came up with the pairings put some thought behind them beyond the photoshop effectiveness.

The Michelle Obama choice is especially interesting. Is Dr. Strange a vegan like Sen. Booker?
