Back in the late 60s in Chapel Hill, dropped in to a record store and emporium (Kemp's), and there in the back picking and strumming was Ives. One of those bits of serendipity from living in an interesting place.

and also Mitch Miller. I think she wanted to turn us into singing kids. Didn't work, but we all enjoyed the records.

I had a collection of 45's and our teacher in second grade had us sing our favorite song, so I sang my father wa the keeper of the eddy stone light, slept with a mermaid one fine night .... I didn't get to finish it.
