(95,247 posts)Or self-immolation on the National Mall, I can see nothing this man could do that might atone for what he has done our people and the country we love..

(3,389 posts)I cannot excuse this guy for what he did, there is no way that he would not have known it would create a problem, and he owns trump as much as his enablers.

(1,668 posts)He shouldnt have done this, but the pressure angle from inside the FBI got sent down the memory hole. It speaks to the ongoing corruption that the GOP has groomed in law enforcement. Until and unless law enforcement can confront abuses by their own community they will increasingly be viewed as quasi Gestapo agents.

(3,389 posts)And he showed that he is frail when it comes to sticking to his principles. I don't care how much pressure you get from anyone, and least of all from an idiot like Giuliani, you stick to your principles or will pay dearly for the rest of your life. Case in point is Collin Powel who was considered a future president, but when he gave up his principles and his oath to the truth he lost everything, where is he now? He is just a bad memory in the eyes of his country and many people in the World. To think that he could have, single handedly stop the Iraq invasion, how the World would have changed for the better...He could have been president.

(1,668 posts)But the corrupt stooges of Rudy are still there.
And I believe that the GOP wouldnt have approved Comey if they didnt think he could be bent to their will.

(2,412 posts)Thank you for remembering his outrageous lies at the UN about the WMD. He is a failed leader. And he is certainly not welcome here in my home town for a cushy and lucrative speech. He would be run out of town for not standing up against The War on Iraq! I despise him.

(111,089 posts)I still do.
Unfortunately, he was not strong enough to handle the ambush by Trump and the Republicans. He was unprepared for the attacks against him. He never anticipated the degree of opposition against he and the FBI. He was too accommodating and weak to handle the partisan demands that were made upon him by the Republicans on the Committees.
He did not feel he could tell the people about Russian collusion but he could tell them about Hillary's emails on Anthony Weiner's computer? That was the compromise that he made with them. It was a tragic miscalculation on the part of James Comey. In hindsight, it's hard to imagine who would have challenged and survived the Trump assassination team.
Just my opinion.

He made his own bed.
Fucking shame he has to lie in it since it is full of shit.
Hope his conscience never gives him a moments rest until the day he leaves this ball of rock.

(964 posts)Only his payback wasn't what he expected. Imagine had Hillary won, then Comey would be a prominent person in the FBI. Stupid maga ass ruin his own life.

(2,458 posts)the matter with us? You can't tell me that there was no discrimination involved here! There's many men that don't want a woman President . Period! A woman is just as qualified to run (if not more) than a man for President! All these years & NO woman President? As Joe would say: "COME ON MAN!"...spank:
