1. This is a good video, and as with the Lincoln Project, we may not have agreed with

Shields & Brooks but maybe a few times, but regardless of their ideologies these people want Democracy to stay in the USA, they are intelligent people who understand what totalitarian regimes bring to a country, and they don't want to see that happen in our country.

My humble opinion on Lloyd Austin.

David Brooks' criticism had to do with the tradition (not really a rule) of not appointing a military person into a position as Secretary of Defense....Now my take on his appointment. I believe that Biden/Harris are being proactive by appointing him. Why do I say that? Because I think they are expecting civilian (white supremacists) unrest, and they need a strong hand to make sure that first, it doesn't get out of hand, second, that these people are appropriately reined in.

My take is not based on any information, it is something that, lets say is a more of a gut feeling.
