Democracy is under attack the world over. Understanding where the attacks originate is critical.

there's an awful lot extra in the mix. As a European Union citizen, I'm ok with where they are at the moment, but they have their own tug of war between those who want a federal EU versus the status quo. However the Brexit project has been a disaster, and has potential to get awfully worse. The money men planned to make the financial centre in London a haven for all their shady dealings but Germany and France are not going to let them get away with it, in fact many companies have moved to Frankfurt and Paris. Above all Biden winning has forced the UK not to hold the Irish border as a hostage in their trade negotiation with the EU. They are now holding a very weak hand.

This kind of clarity is most welcome. Many of us acknowledge this "civil war" but have no the ability to articulate it in terms that average Joe/Jane Doe can understand. This war is a multi-decade war that's been fought in the shadows for too long. They've become embolden with great amassed wealth and the puppets they put in place using their "dark money", i.e. Johnson, Trump, Orban, Modi, Morrison, et al. In Canada the extreme RW Conservative Party formed by Stephen Harper, now head of IDU, tried and failed but is still pulling the strings of the party even now. Destroying social democracies is their primary agenda with absolute power their ultimate final goal. It is truly a global concern and should NOT be drowned out by either of these War Lord or Domestic Capitalists.

Another tool that is used by those seeking to autocratically rule is "populism". There's a lot to dissect with populism which is now being used as a wedge to divide social democracies. For years RW Conservatism has been destroying the electoral rights, obligations and processes of each citizen's "one vote", and we're now left with the angry "mob" or populism that will blindly follow, like lemmings, these extreme agendas over a cliff as they vote against their own best interests.

Capitalism, either War Lord or Domesticated, is the tool that dark money uses to keep the populace angry, hungry and frightened. Reagan and Thatcher's embrace of "trickledown" began the modern push to this civil war. But, eyes are opening, minds are inquiring, seeking and reality is striking at every step now. We are Woke.
