Rick Steves Europe: Glasgow & Scottish Passions / Edinburgh

2019. A look at the rich history of Glasgow: thriving commerical center, public street art murals, designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, lively pubs and a stately castle, famous Scotch whiskey, 'coopers,' barrell makers at local distilleries.

2006. Edinburgh. In this program we explore the cultural heart of Scotland. After rambling through Edinburgh Castle, we experience Scottish literature and Scotch whisky, savor the new Scottish cuisine with a local friend, stow away on Her Majesty's yacht Britannia, and check out the new Scottish Parliament.

Saturday, 2nd July 2016 saw HM Queen Elizabeth in Edinburgh for the 5th opening of the Scottish Parliament.

The Scottish regiment known as "The Black Watch" paraded with the Crown Of Scotland from Edinburgh Castle to the Holyrood Scottish Parliament Building at the bottom of The Royal Mile.
