(30,777 posts)he only attends events that are safe places for him. He will not speak to Democrats or anyone who might ask him tough questions.
I attended his only "town hall," a couple of years ago, at Rock Valley College. It was tightly controlled. If he did not want to answer a question, it was thrown out. Often, when he did answer questions, he turned them into straw man questions and answered them the way he wanted. He only spoke about the things HE wanted to address, not what the audience wanted. He manspread and behaved in an arrogant manner.
Do not trust this man. He thinks he is playing three-dimensional chess. He is trying to save his seat, because he may be redistricted out of existence. He may be trying to run for higher office. Watch him turn right around into a conservative SOB as soon as it is convenient.

I have no hope because in my view the republican party stop being good for the country after Roosevelt died, since then it has been a corrupt party incapable of doing good government for the people, extremely corrupt.
Pre Roosevelt it was corrupt, and once Roosevelt left the scene it became corrupt once again.
