than it is because they don't know squat about the legal system. Making a motion for a new trial is a routine procedure that is always done in order to preserve certain issues for appeal. It's malpractice not to do it. The motion will almost certainly be denied, and an appeal will be taken from that decision. This is not important. It's normal.

He might pull out a hung jury or two, but the next one would convict him.

He spent way too much time crushing a handcuffed man’s neck to ever get acquitted.
