In discussing a new party, Former Congressman Denver Riggleman (R-VA) said Conservative does not mean crazy nor being nuts but balanced.

Conservatives are not going to go away, ever, they'll always be with us. The split is between rational conservatives and irrational conservatives. We can work with the former. The latter are incapable of cooperation or compromise.

At their best, conservatives have put the brakes on when progressives have gotten a little too Utopian for the times.

At their worst, they put Dumdum into office and still support him, parroting the Big Lie in the hope that someday they'll believe it.
