You have to wonder why a cruise line would not require either proof of vaccination or at least take a COVID test before the lady takes a cruise. However, I wonder whether this is to DeSantis's spread the vaccine prohibitions on taking anti-COVID precautions.
This is why I am not going to go on a cruise, well, perhaps ever. I considered it before the pandemic, but nothing like pandemics and cruises to illustrate how quickly disease can spread through an enclosed area.

(111,277 posts)but taking it out on the crew made her just another entitled Karen who shouldn't be allowed out in public.
She really should have gotten those shots. It's not like they're unavailable in New England.
That's the part that makes her a stupid Karen.

(23,106 posts)No plans to go on one again either. I wouldn't go on one out of FL because they can't stop you if you aren't vaccinated due to Death Sentence trying to kill us. If DS loses in court and they can restrict these cruises to just vaccinated folks, I will return.

According to the complaint filed Tuesday, NCLH says the lawsuit is a "last resort" because Florida had indicated it would prevent the company from "safely and soundly resuming passenger cruise operations" next month. It described the state law as an "anomalous, misguided intrusion."

n April, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an executive order banning the use of Covid-19 passports in the state. The order prohibited any government entity from issuing vaccine passports and blocks businesses from requiring any such documentation.
Senate Bill 2006 was signed into law on May 3, making that executive order official. "In Florida, your personal choice regarding vaccinations will be protected and no business or government entity will be able to deny you services based on your decision," DeSantis said.

(9,118 posts)got hamstrung by Governor Death Sentence. I read that at least one other major cruise line is going to require proof of vaccination regardless of the Floridians recklessness.
I have ZERO sympathy for this woman. She had ample time to get vaccinated and ample time to consult medical professionals about her alleged condition.
Furthermore she should have known that cruise lines often give sickly passengers short shrift. When the norovirus was making its round a couple of seasons ago, sickly passengers not only got isolated but put off the ship.
This woman claims she wants her freedom. Well, excuuuse me, honey, when you book a cruise, you agree to certain restrictions so as not to endanger your shipmates or ship. That means no guns, no fireworks, no excreting in the pools, no brawling, no smoking outside of designated areas at designated times. If she cant comply, she shouldnt be on board.

(9,118 posts)The Trumpie Tic Tocker got put off at Nassau, a regular stop.
I pity the poor Bahamians who also had to deal with her, likewise the pax and aircrews for her flight home.

(1,568 posts)It's like those movies where they have a totally unreasonable character that seems a little bit too over-the-top to be realistic. I take back many of my criticisms about those movies being unrealistic.

(9,118 posts)Some of the videos weve seen of Trumpies acting out have similar flavors.
The decor definitely looks Royal Caribbean and a couple of people on Cruise Critic have IDd the dock off the ship as being at Nassau.
