Any death is bad, but I a glad they are rescuing as many as possible in this disaster.

You are right. The ship was stunning.

You have a relatively shallow drafting hull and an exaggerated superstructure. Just looks top heavy. What's interesting about the way this boat sank is that it did not topple over on the side of the damage - water coming in on the side of the hull breech would be the side that I'd think would be susceptible to toppling over.

Still, i agree, this one was gorgeous ship...my wife wants to do one of these cruises someday. This accident doesn't really change our thoughts about doing it.

and the ship is taking on water, any inherent list will be the side or end that the water rushes to.
I imagine the ship hit the rock, her hull was ripped open, she settled on the rock with a list and the water filled all the voids as it "water-falled" with gravity's help.
