1. Let's hope she can convince them! It's one thing for them to stomp their feet and say no,

It’s something entirely different for a sitting senator knowing how high the stakes are,
to vote against their party when they are possibly the deciding vote. Not a good thing on one’s record

Sinema will certainly lose her seat over it, she may very well lose it anyway at this point. AZ Dems that worked so hard for her are FED UP!!

And their constituents overwhelmingly support both of the bills in question. Some of them even rowed out to Manchin's "houseboat" (yacht) in an attempt to persuade him.

3. You think WV voters support the voting rights laws?

I SERIOUSLY doubt it. Senator Manchin is only helping his re-election chances by torpedoing these and the BBB bill in my opinion living less than 500 yards from the WV border. Not saying it is right, just that it politically makes sense.

And he did come out to talk with them.

A dozen. Do you have any references to polls that say WV voters want the voting rights bills passed? Footage of a few dozen activists paddling in the Potomac near Manchin’s boat does not equal WV voters.

Who wouldn't support better roads and safer bridges - and all the other positive things being offered across the board? Not to mention, didn't Manchin rewrite the Voting Bill, saying that Republicans would support his version? But now it inexplicably seems like he's reluctant to vote for his own bill...

For Trump by almost 40 points. You think they actually consider what is in those “demoRAT Commie” bills?

10. I've only been to West Virginia once, but why wouldn't they support improvements, as we've heard?

But if you're in West Virginia, and have spoken to friends and neighbors, then you have a better idea than either me or whatever news I've heard.

Referencing support for the voting rights bills among WV voters let alone BBB.

Did you look for yourself at some search results for what you say is no support?

An April poll conducted by Global Strategy Group and ALG Research for End Citizens United, a liberal democracy reform group, found that 79 percent of West Virginians overall, including three-quarters of Republicans, supported the For the People Act.

Poll numbers don’t tell the whole story..far from it, but here ya go! Geez!!

Re-read the article to make sure I did not miss the poll numbers you say are in the article. There are NO POLL numbers at all in the article you originally cited. Again, my point is that Sen. Manchin will have zero political downside among WV voters for not supporting the voting rights bills (or technically changing the filibuster rules to allow a simple majority vote on the voting rights bills) or killing BBB. I would go as far as to say he will be in a better re-election position if he continues on his path. Some here just don’t seem to realize that WV is not Manhattan. Trump carried the state by almost 40 points for god sakes!
