Sinema: Changing Senate Rules For Voting Rights Reform Could Worsen 'Disease Of Division' - MSNBC



Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., spoke on the Senate floor to voice her support for voting rights reform bills but stated that she would not support a Senate rules change to allow these bills to pass with only 50 votes. Aired on 01/13/2022.

grew up with no understanding of the racism and the Jim Crow that existed. They are completely clueless of the sacrifices in lives that people did to get the vote.

did not, but then I grew up white in a suburb of KC and as a kid didn’t have a clue. As an adult I understand now, but will never know the pain and sacrifices people made/make to be able to vote.
