(205,257 posts)Of course, now we know that Nixon "colluded" with the Vietnamese to thwart the peace talks under LBJ which he knew would benefit the Democrats - and that led to another seven years of war and thousands more deaths on both sides. But we didn't find that out for another 50 years. Watergate was just about the break in and I think what TFG and his enablers did was so much worse on all levels, did lasting damage to this country (particularly the departments of State and DOJ, not to mention alienating our allies and enabling our adversaries), and we're yet to find out just how deep this went.

(2,065 posts)What - MY judges all ruled against me??? They're not YOUR judges, dummy! The judicial branch of government is set up to be an independent branch of government - read your constitution! - That is, if you can read. Once you appoint them, they are totally free to call the cases as they see them.
But, even if Trump's Supreme Court justices had all ruled in his favor, along with Clarence Thomas, it still wouldn't have been enough to get him a win; it would have been a 5 to 4 ruling against Trump.
