DeSantis Unable To Adapt As Covid Conditions Change; Clings To Obsolete Treatments - Rachel Maddow

Rachel Maddow reports on the bizarre, impassioned insistence by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis that Covid patients have access to monoclonal antibody treatments that everyone who knows what they're talking about agree do not work against the omicron variant, which make up 99% of the current cases. Ken griffin citadel securities are huge rethug donors, he is fleecing the American taxpayers by forcing the US Government to buy regenerons moniclonal antibody treatments and his top donor makes big money to support him and the rethugs.

So it makes sense that he rejects vaccinations and masks which can prevent Covid.

As long as he can keep covid going the more he and citadel can fleece the taxpayers.

They are the epitome of "a conclusion is where you stopped thinking."

Thinking is hard for ideologues.

between politicians and millionaires.

As much as we may hate it, there was a time when insurance companies called the shots as far as what treatments there were willing to pay for. In short, ones that had a track record for working.

If we were to continue along this model, insurance companies would back the most effective way to prevent COVID hospitalization, taking the vaccine. These other treatments once you've been hospitalized with COVID are a 100 times more expensive (not including hospitalization costs). In a "free market" system, the insurance companies would pass more of the costs onto consumers if they fail to follow their treatment regimen. So you're anti-vaxx? Well then you get to pay a significant percentage of your post COVID treatment. By not doing this, the government and other people who follow guidelines get stuck with the bill (higher insurance premiums and more government funding drained into treating these people).
