Very Good Analysis of No Fly Zone

Please watch this analysis of the gift that Putler would get if the US and NATO attempted to enforce a No Fly Zone in Ukraine.

The relevant portion occurs at around the 40 minute mark. The earlier parts of the video are a discussion of the military situation so far in Ukraine. It might be interesting to some here but the discussion at the end (40 minute mark) is extremely important for people to understand.

The short take is that a No Fly Zone would be a tremendous gift for Putler. He is doing everything he can to draw the US and NATO into direct military conflict. It is the only thing that would snatch victory from the jaws of defeat for this madman.

Bottom line, the Biden Team is playing this horrible hand the best way they can to defeat this menace. We need to have his back.

2. The most interesting part...

...is the observation that Putler NEEDS NATO to engage. Then his whole rationale for the illegal invasion is validated to the Russian public.

This whole exercise may be primarily motivated to start an existential conflict with NATO and the West. That my be his real endgame here. That is what China is hoping for as well.

6. He doesn't think the West would do that...

...he sees the West as weak.

He thinks this will turn into a conventional war and he would be able to peel apart the Western alliance in Europe, which was his goal of the last 30 years.

In other words, he is playing a high stakes gambit here. That is why he is committing war crimes, to try to force the West into blundering directly into a shooting war.

If he attacks a NATO country, this strategy doesn't work. We would then have a legitimate reason to engage the Russians. He needs us to attack his troops in Ukraine where we have no legitimate legal justification/treaty.

This is the only thing that would save his ass right now from a humiliating defeat and pariah status on the world stage.
