That particular bit of treason makes Watergate look like a parking ticket - and yet remains utterly unknown, or only barely familiar, to most Americans.

It also marked the beginning to the GOP's steady decline since then into 5th column territory - which, as you know, continued with Poppy Bush's back-channel deals to hold the hostages past the '80 election, and so much else besides.

I shudder to think what they'll try next, if they ever get their tush into the Oval Office again (it's bound to happen sometime, sadly).
