That takes time, logistics and all.
Not like you can send over a helicopter today and tomorrow it's fully manned and flying duties in a war zone.

(95,247 posts)It is expended in combat. Previous to that it is shipped to the line from a depot. The depot is the repository of weapons received from manufacturers, domestic or foreign. It is wise to maintain some stocks in hand, for eventualities....

(12,792 posts)I have also seen Ukrainian Members of Parliament complain that they are not seeing many of the weapons showing up on the front lines in the East. I realize there may be many logistical issues, but the point made in the video is that there is no motivation to move the weapons and, reading between the lines, those in the West may want to keep the aid for defense of the Western areas, when and if that is needed again.
The ideal solution would be for the US or NATO to guide the distribution, without having "boots on the ground" actually participate in the fighting. The UK already has special forces in Ukraine for training purposes:
