I wrote here several months ago that duke power had tacked on a minimum to our bills $14 per month … and I don’t have solar, plus they made it sound like ALL residential customers were getting billed it

Another rate increase was proposed due to ‘energy efficient’ homes last year and as far as I know they got it too …

Years ago a new power company Progress Energy was started, and when I moved to my location I was in the covered area, so was with Progress, until … you got it, duke took it over so it is now known as DUKE ENERGY PROGRESS

The hold that the fossil fuel industry has on our legislatures makes it IMPOSSIBLE to move on to better plans to make our environment safer and cleaner. Until we have elected government officials that actually care about our environment and the actual future of our world, we're screwed......
