Politicized Supreme Court Guts Clean Air Act; Environmental Activists Hope For Backlash - MSNBC Prime

Bill McKibben, environmental activist, talks about how the Supreme Court checked another item off its political to-do list as decades of big business opposition to environmental regulation was realized in a new ruling from the court, and expresses hope that the sheer unpopularity of the ruling will motivate a backlash. But now TFG's toxic legacy has risen up to preserve his toxic and anti-democratic policies - and go even further!

From my perspective, this was one of the most important reports of the night! Unless we address the environmental crisis, there's not much point in anything else. *sigh*

My grandmother told me years ago that if she was a young person starting out (she was a teacher), she'd be an environmentalist - and I take environmental issues very seriously - it's the most important we're facing and it's painful to realize that we've lost so much time. We absolutely cannot go backwards!

p.s. Even Stephen Colbert weighed in on the importance of environmental concerns tonight!

The implications of the Supreme Court's decision extend far beyond climate change — they threaten the very concept of a federal government. (via @TheReidOut Blog)
