Russia was doomed from the start Dr Mike Martin

"This war has never really been right for Russia. They’ve never had enough troops, they’ve been poorly equipped."

Russian troops are neither skilled nor equipped enough to win the war against Ukraine, former British Army officer Dr. Mike Martin tells #TimesRadio.

and had they gone in with everything they had.

However, long term, they would be defeated even if they had won the war. Ukraine would have bled them dry.

As we saw in Iraq, winning an asymmetrical war is relatively easy. An occupation afterward is not easy.

They'll tell you want to hear, not what you need to hear.

You're right that thinking the US and NATO weren't going to back Ukraine was the biggest blunder. Without Biden, not sure NATO would have backed Ukraine the way we have. So yes, Biden deserves a huge amount of credit here. If we hadn't been supplying tons of weapons Russia might have won but it would have taken years and still been very unstable.
