(17,220 posts)but I'm sure it's related to Roe vs Wade.
How many times have Rs had the White House and both Houses of Congress in the last 50 years,
and they never attempted to pass any legislation that pro-lifers really wanted to see?
I'm thinking Rs knew all along that with Roe vs Wade on the books anything they did was going to
be meaningless so they never really pushed anything. They knew all along the only way to make
their antiabortion voters happy was with the SCOTUS, that's why they've worked so hard in
stacking the court.
Come election time they always pull the fetus/baby issue out. Except this year I believe they'll
come to regret it as women and their loved ones are mad as hell at pro-lifers & Rs.

(12,422 posts)That's what they're leading with! It's no wonder Democrats are expected to pick up seats. And though House control looks out of reach for Democrats, there's a possible coattail effect in states with clown-car candidates like Vance, Oz, Walker, et al. And then there's Roe, too, driving registrations among younger voters who may not be factored into the polling yet.
