Kensington videos are all over YouTube, Twitter, and TikTok. On YouTube, many of these videos get 10's of thousands and 100's of thousands views. Some have over a million. They are monetized, so those making these vids are raking in some good money. Many of the top accounts are in Kensington on a daily basis, sometimes multiple times a day. They are not doing these videos too help the situation or help people find loved ones. This is all greed. Many videos will have very cold and sometimes violent comments about "those people." They are called "zombies," because of how they walk and sway, but it just further dehumanizes them. None of these videos are aboit finding solutions. It's pure exploitation.
Dems would love to have more treatment centers, clean needle sites, housing options here, but the GOP outcry is loud. Many Kensington residents want to "take their neighborhood back," which is obviously understandable, but many are not open to solutions given by Dems because "socialism," blah blah blah. They blame dem leaders for Kensington. Philly is blue, but it has many red pockets and they are loud about it.
