I did a double take when she first appeared on TV, my first thought was "I know her!" Glad to see she's doing well.

And I also get audio books, I have both of Mary Trump's books on disc and listen to them in my car since I drive a lot. I definitely recommend those as well.

and equally at risk with this supreme court. I hadn't thought about the fact that groups like the Oath Keepers, etc. would recruit misogynists or homophobes and then indoctrinate them in white supremacy. I guess once people are in a "tribe" their hatred grows.

I remember the hearings when she testified back in the day, I was in my dentist's chair and she had them on TV in her office. Another time I was in my dentist's chair when she had the TV on was 9/11. Here in New York, things were pretty chaotic and I remember sitting there watching CNN and seeing that second plane hitting over and over. I was scared witless, thought the world was about to end - I'd always voted, every Democrat since Jimmy Carter, but that was my wake up call and I started really paying attention and I eventually found DU. It's not like I spend a lot of time at the dentist, but I seem to pick significant dates for appointments. I also had an appointment on election day 2016.

Anita Hill testified at Thomas' hearing before the Judiciary Committee. Wonder what he would do now, if he had the chance to do it all over again.
