I thought I'd go ahead and bring this speech over here to DU3 from my DU2 journal for the folks that might not have already had the opportunity to listen to it or might not even knew that it existed. In my opinion it is one of Obama's best speeches, but I rarely ever hear anyone reference it.

There will be a lot of talk from the GOP in the upcoming year about President Obama's religion/views (of course)
as the GOPers try to paint themselves as The Christians and Obama as 'something else'.

For the DUers that take the time to listen to the speech posted above, I hope ya'll will share your thoughts with us in the comments on this thread.

one of the cable news stations was talking about religion regarding Romney or Santorum or someone and then they started talking about John F. Kennedy's religion speech - I got all excited and I thought "Maybe they will mention Obama's speech regarding Faith and Politics when he was a U.S. Senator" and they did NOT.

I am starting to wonder if any of the media talking heads even know about Obama's speech! ???

the media (most with very few exceptions) also does not want Obama to succeed ...they just do a really good job or have done a really good job of hiding it. They are, however, becoming a little more obvious in their duplicity as they become more desperate as Obama's approval ratings beging to rise. You will get a better picture of our own President if you check out foreign news outlets that are not controlled by Murdoch and others like him.
