An appeals court temporarily blocked President Biden's plan to erase the student loan debt of millions of Americans while it considers a challenge. Several groups have gone to court to try to stop the forgiveness program. The decision comes as the application process for the relief program opened online. Danielle Douglas-Gabriel of The Washington Post joined John Yang to discuss the plan. - Aired on 10/21/2022.

We remember that McConnell and the Republicans engaged in obstruction to prevent Obama from getting things done. Well, now they're even more desperate since Biden has been so successful in pulling us out of the messes that TFG left us with. And this student debt forgiveness is one more incredibly popular program, so the Republicans want to block it to prevent Biden getting credit for one more popular and successful program - especially since the midterms are imminent. As usual, they really could care less about helping the American people.
