AFAIK it's ONLY an audio book, and its not part but ALL of the recordings.

I think that his voice with the inflections, the change of cadence, etc. would make it that much more compelling.

the public. Woodward had the same feeling you: the full reality simply does not come across on the page, and people have to hear it for themselves.
The person who wrote the article said, Woodward sounded
spooked.
Trump, of course, is calling Woodward sleazy, and claims the tapes belong to him, and is suing Woodward.

The point of this release is very much what you're saying, to hear the inflections, cadences, etc.
