(10,252 posts)I'll bet the powers that be in Bullhead AZ call themselves "Christians." Obviously they fell asleep during the sermon about the good Samaritan.

(22,543 posts)migrants? He was arrested and charged... It went to court. His defense was that his religious beliefs dictated that he help the needy, less fortunate. He won. I bet this lovely lady could win a lawsuit with the same defense. No one is going to rule against freedom of religion and especially when the freedom involves a basic Christian tenet which is so well known.

As the officer said to his superior, he saw this as being a political nightmare and the good people of Arizona should make it one, and take it national in the Media. The command officer told him to take it off speaker phone. He didn't want the public or media to know who he was when he ordered her arrest. AND why are they conducting police business on cell phones instead of on their police band radios??????? If they are so proud of their actions, why do they try to hide their faces behind masks, and hide their comments from the public.
I personally know some awesome police officers that conduct themselves properly. I also know some who are not so good..........You can tell that this poor officer is wondering WTF he is being ordered to do, but is required to carry out the order.
AGAIN, I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT EXACT STATUTE IS SHE BEING CHARGED WITH?????????????
I am emailing my friends in Arizona and sending them this video and asking them WTF.

(4,552 posts)Christ did not ask us to help the poor.
Christ demanded we help the poor.
Christ said nothing about judging the poor.
Christ was very clear about who would do the judging.

(851 posts)Actually, the a-holes who create, pass and enforce these types of laws just want the homeless to get a job, buy a home (or rent one) so they can add to, usually, local taxes to pay for the likes of the holier-than-thou a-holes who create and enforce these these assinine laws.
