Marjorie Taylor Greene Suggests America Should Bomb Mexico - Ring of Fire

Marjorie Taylor Greene this week suggested that the United States should carry out bombing raids against Mexican drug cartels, but that we shouldn't be bombing the "other" people of Mexico. That's kind of a hard thing to do, considering the fact that we can't even have success taking out enemies with precise drones. But this kind of rhetoric is absolutely dangerous, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

This week, Republican representative Marjorie Taylor Green, suggested that we bomb Mexico. But she made it clear like, not ne not the country and the people, but just the drug cartels in Mexico. So here's what Marjorie Taylor Green had to say on social media. Quote, president Trump was right. We should bomb the cartels because they're an international criminal organization, murdering our people by lacing deadly fentanyl from China with drugs they illegally sell across our border to US citizens, not Mexico, or it's great people. The cartels. Washington always has a lust for war. If that's the case, they need to turn their lust towards a war that actually defends America's borders and the American people's lives. But Joe Biden is the, is the best business partner the cartels have ever had. And Joe keeps the drugs flowing. So you are, uh, you're lying about President Biden there.

That's obvious cuz Republicans always get on social media and talk, oh my God, border patrol just seized, you know, 800 pounds of drugs. This is Biden's fault. Yeah, Biden's fault. That we're seizing more drugs instead of letting them in. They're, they're too stupid to realize their own statements there. But Marjorie, you're also suggesting, you know, cartels are not, doesn't matter. You are suggesting the United States military bomb a so a sovereign country, and it's a sovereign country that's like lit literally right below us. And you think there's not gonna be ramifications of that. Well, you think we're gonna be able to go talk to the president of Mexico and be like, Hey, just real quick, um, you're gonna see some planes flying over. They're gonna be dropping some bombs, but don't worry, we're, we're totally not gonna kill you. We're not gonna kill your people. We're just gonna kill the cartels.

Uh, we're just gonna do that real quick and, uh, we'll be out of here. Thanks. No, that, that's not gonna happen. That's not gonna fly with anyone. Not to mention the fact that we have drones that can go out there, take out a terrorist with pinpoint accuracy, and we can't even get that right. Like, we're still using these drones and oops, we accidentally killed a bunch of civilians. Oops, we accidentally bombed a wedding. And these things, again, they have cameras pinpoint accuracy. We've got satellites and we still can't hit the bad guys. And you think going and dropping a bomb, firing a missile off of an aircraft is, is gonna only kill the cartels. If that's what you believe, then you are delusional. We're, we're very bad, I guess I should say, when it comes to aiming properly with our military. And this is a disaster waiting to happen. Not to mention the fact that this is just the Republican go-to line, because republicans never want to think things through whenever we encounter a tough problem, right?

Yes, the cartels in Mexico are a problem. The drugs coming across the border are a problem. But rather than actually addressing it, rather than going full force, having smart people come up with smart plans to help reduce the violence in the drugs, marjorie's like, just screw it. Just bomb 'em. Just kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out. That's her answer. And as she pointed out, that was Trump's answer too, because these people don't want to think, they don't want to come up with diplomatic solutions. They just wanna wipe things off the face of the earth and move on with their lives. Let's hope that other countries aren't thinking the same thing about the United States, right?

I call it batshit mode.
And I gotta ask, is that how her batshit caucus manipulates House votes?
But who and what for? FL man? FL man's bag man, McCarthy?

I also gotta ask, why does reporting on and analyzing a party that's a proven failure at legislation and governance matter? Especially when we've asked and found out, over the years, why they say such stuff. Does Ring of Fire not know? It should. Especially when the batshits and media bait us and pick our brains to learn what the right way to think about foreign policy might be. Just to help their stupid bag men.

I don't have an issue with your thinking. But I do have an issue with "just asking" media that give attention to a failed party's provocateurs. This kind of provocative politics should seem like low hanging fruit by now, imo.
Media (Google, which owns YouTube) make money everytime we visit their sites and re-post provocative news cycle stuff. It just encourages other media to do more of the same, which gets more ad buy profit from our attention, which confers more legitimacy politicians -- and media that push batshit 'suggestions' by politicians -- than they deserve, which is zero.

I can't stand media hype of a failed party.
I guess my point here is that to me, what she (or anyone in the failed party) says isn't as important as why she/they say it, and who she/they say it for. I've decided not to take this upcoming shit show seriously.

Thanks for your effort post.
