'She's for sale': How Ruben Gallego plans to defeat Kyrsten Sinema in potential three-way raceArizonans who voted for Democrat Kyrsten Sinema in 2018 are plenty fed up with the now Independent Senator Sinema, especially the progressive and Latino activists who worked tirelessly to get her elected. This has made Sinema ripe for a Democratic challenger. Now she's got a formidable one: Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego. Gallego joins Joy Reid on how he plans to defeat Sinema in a potential three-way race. - The ReidOut - MSNBC - Aired on 01/24/2023.

1. I would stay away from that rhetoric.
He can just say something like Kristen Sinema stands in the way of good bills. Bills that are supported by a majority of Americans. While her campaign coffers get filled by the lobbyists opposing those bills.

2. Arizona Senate hopeful Ruben Gallego posts record-breaking fundraising haul
Rep. Ruben Gallego’s Senate campaign said it raised more than $1 million in one day after the Democrat launched his bid for Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s coveted seat in the 2024 election cycle.
More than 27,000 donations contributed to the haul, breaking a state record previously held by incumbent Arizona Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly. The early windfall for Gallego’s Senate bid came as Sinema, who recently ditched the Democratic Party to become an independent, has yet to announce if she will seek reelection in 2024. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/01/24/gallego-posts-big-fundraising-haul-in-bid-for-sinema-az-senate-seat.html |

4. Fetterman and Mark Kelly were my two early-adopter candidates for the 2022 cycle. Gallego and Lance
Kunce of Missouri will be my 2024 adoptees. I'm in California, so I'll be watching to see who's interested in Dianne Feinstein's Senate seat.
I supported Gabby Giffords from early in her political career, so dynamic astronaut Mark Kelly is a favored candidate. I even supported Sinema early on; I'm disappointed in how disappointing she's become. |

5. Great choices for 2022, who doesn't love Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly?
And John Fetterman became a national star!
![]() And I'm also watching who might be interested in Dianne Feinstein's seat - we've heard Katie Porter who's a long time favorite here, but now we're hearing criticism since it's too early? But then we have our own problems here in NY-21, as if Stefanik weren't enough of a national embarrassment, we're now hearing that she was a big supporter of George Santos... ![]() |
