Caller hangs up after I destroyed his defense of inhumane oil companies; a meaningful argument.

The caller thought he could soften our resolve as he defended oil companies by claiming he was a donor. But he could not find an argument for their inhumaneness.

The caller attempted to silence me, claiming to be a donor to our radio station. He took exception to my disdain for the #oilcompanies executives and my willingness to entertain their #nationalization to stabilize prices for the "legally robbed" Americans. It is the only way to resolve their greed using a resource that we should all own.

1. I have litigated against all of the major oil companies for over 30 years.

In that time I have seen over and over these companies willing to sacrifice lives of their workers, and the communities around them, for profit. I have watched the media avoid the negative stories and actually have them target the opposition fighting the companies due to the advertising leverage the oil majors have.

In the BP oil spill this was off the charts. I have been followed by private investigation firms, actors they hire to approach me and interact to try and determine what I am doing. I have had local news and NY Times reporters show up to ambush me. I engaged with some of them who then told me they could not do victim impact stories or their news outlet would lose valuable ad revenue. During the 2008 crash and fall out from the crash when ad revenues were down these outlets desperately needed the money. They did exactly what they were told because they were told the money goes away if the publish or broadcast anything the industry didn’t like.

These companies are also huge donors who have the politicians sewn up. Our system is broken irreparably and I agree with nationalization of the oil industry. I have read their emails and seen their budgeting documents where they decide to not repair the most dangerous problems in their refineries because their profit is higher. I have seen them estimate how many people would die and calculate how much each death costs them to factor in profitability and then decide those lives were expendable because it was still more profitable.

People just do not understand how much power that much money gives a company like BP or Exxon Mobile. Couple that with the clout that with the work of the American Petroleum institute and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and it’s Institute for Legal Reform do to propagandize Americans and you have a real problem. Just Google “The Record” newspapers. There are several now, The West Virginia Record, The Louisiana Record, The South East Texas Record. In the early days they didn’t even sell advertising and you could pick one up outside the courthouse doors for free to read while you had jury duty. Coincidentally, the stories on the front page would involve issues that were set for trial that week and have a pro corporate slant. Now they look like a normal courthouse newspaper unless you look at the opinions pages. These papers are all owned by the Chamber but you will not find that out by looking at them.
