Kari Lake Claims She's Not A Criminal After Criminal Referral - Ring of Fire

Failed gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake swears that she's not a criminal after the Arizona Secretary of State referred her for criminal investigation last week. Lake says that this is just an attempt to "scare" her, but the accusations of wrongdoing are very serious and the activity that she engaged in - tweeting out voter signatures - is as clear as day. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Last week, if you'll recall, we talked about the fact that the Arizona Secretary of State has sent a criminal referral against Carrie Lake to the Attorney General of the state of Arizona, asking them to investigate and possibly prosecute her for tweeting out the signatures of voters in the state of Arizona, which according to Arizona law is 100% illegal. But Lake did it anyway because she thought that tweeting these signatures out would somehow prove that the signatures don't match, even though they do. So not only did you not make your point, but in attempting to make your point, you may have broken the law in the state of Arizona. So yesterday, Carrie Lake goes on Charlie Kirk's program where she insists that not only is she not a criminal, but that this whole thing is trumped up just to shut her up here is what she said. We've seen this with the federal government when they rated Mar-a-Lago, it's not going to go anywhere. They're just trying to scare me and I will not be intimidated by these people. So they're trying to paint me out to be a criminal, and it's really, it's horrible. If they do it to me, they'll do it to every single citizen. They're trying to force us to comply with their rules, and these are not good people.

So let me get this straight. You think that because they're doing it to you because of what you did, that they're somehow after that, based on your statement here, Carrie, they're gonna start doing that to average, average citizens. So Joe Smith in Arizona going to his job today where he works at, uh, let's say he owns an, uh, auto body repair shop. So Joe Smith is sitting there, he's, you know, banging out offender, and the cops are gonna show up and say, Hey, Joe Smith, uh, um, you tweeted out the signatures of voters in the state of Arizona and we're gonna have to arrest you. Is that what you are actually implying here, Carrie? Because that makes absolutely no sense at all. Then again, neither does anything you have said since losing the election, which yes, you lost fair and square. The studies have proved it, the voting results have proved it. The courts have determined that, and you are still out there fighting and you're getting so desperate that you don't care at this point. If you're doing things that may or may not be illegal like that tweet, this is getting seriously out of hand. The only thing I take a little bit of solace in with this whole Carrie Lake drama is the fact that she is starting to lose her appeal to the right-wingers, right? She is a one-trick pony. All she knows how to do is whine about her election. That now took place

And almost, uh, uh, uh, three months ago, and everybody else has moved on. Even the conservatives have moved on. Steve Bannon may not have, Charlie, Kirk may not have, but everybody else, the normal folks have, the people at Fox News have moved on. They're not bringing Carrie Lake on every other day to talk about this anymore. She's fading from their minds, and that's what is scaring Carrie Lake more than anything else. That's what I've been talking about for a month now. She is quickly becoming irrelevant. Those speaking gigs that she had lined up shortly after losing her election, those aren't coming back around. She is becoming the thing she feared the most, and that is irrelevant.
