Trump's Refusal To Pay Cops Could Torpedo His Presidential Campaign - Ring of Fire

Donald Trump has a very long history of not paying the bills for the costs that cities incur to hold his rallies, and as his presidential campaign begins to kick into gear, that could seriously hinder his ability to utilize his most valuable asset. The former President still owes millions to areas across the country, and because of his non-payment, areas could end up rejecting his bids to hold rallies in their cities, forcing him into smaller venues. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Throughout the Trump administration, including the 2020 presidential campaign. We here at Ring of Fire talked about the fact along with everybody else in the media, by the way, talked about the fact that Donald Trump did not like to pay the bills to the cities where he would hold his massive rallies. And these cities incurred hundreds of thousands of dollars in costs that the Trump campaign, by the way, signed contracts saying we would reimburse you for, they had to bring in extra police officers, they had to pay overtime, they had to set up barricades, they had to block off roads. All of that costs cities money. And the Trump campaign in their signed document said, we will pay you back. Do not worry about it. And to this day, many cities and municipalities have not received that money from the Trump campaign. Uh, last tally. He still owes over 2 million to multiple cities across the country where he held his rallies in those big giant arenas.

So why is this a problem today, other than the fact of course, that these cities, some of them have admitted we don't have money now because we had to spend it all on Trump. Well, here's the thing. In order to hold a rally at a big auditorium or a stadium or whatever it is, Donald Trump has to sign these deals with the cities. You know, his campaign has to make these agreements. They have to go through these concessions and they have to pay. But as these cities look around and they say, well, wait a minute, wait a minute. You're saying you're gonna pay us for the cost, we have to incur up front. But you didn't pay them. You didn't pay them. You didn't pay these folks over here. So I'm inclined to decline your offer to come and do a rally, which they have the authority to do.

And now experts are predicting that Donald Trump's refusal to basically pay cops because that's who these people are, that are soaking up this money through overtime and extra hours here. Um, his refusal to pay these cops could result in more cities declining him appearing, which would relegate him to smaller venues, smaller arenas. And as we've seen from his most recent rallies, probably performing in small cities at their fairgrounds, not exactly the venue that you would expect for a multi-billionaire who once shot upon a golden toilet, but that is what Trump has been reduced to because he refuses to pay his bills. And the weird, wacky thing about all of this is that it's not like the campaign doesn't have the money to do it. He could have paid them through all of the money that he had raised with his Save America Pack or the Make America Great Again pack. He's got millions and millions of dollars he

Could, could pay these cities off, get the bills out of the red, and he wouldn't even notice the money's gone. That's how much money he has in these packs. But he still refuses to do it because he's such a greedy s o b, and now it's gonna come back to hurt him. And this may also explain, by the way, why he's only held like two or three rallies since announcing his run for president four months ago, whatever it is. We'll see what happens. Don't expect him to pack out arenas with 20,000 people. Probably be smaller fairground setups under the big tent, which is probably more fitting for Donald Trump's circus style rallies

The cities paid them. And the cities got stuck with the bill. And the orange fucker knows that, and the cops don't care either cause they got theirs.

Cities will be less likely to grant him permits to perform because they don't want to be stiffed for the bill. Cops will always be Trump fans, if Trump screws them they will tell him thank you and send him flowers.

Although cities in red states may get threatened by the State gov't with cuts to funding if they don't let Trump rip them off.

And why mayors/councilmembers didn't go on local news to explain that, and that MF45 is a deadbeat.

It's just one more way they're fucking over blue cities, and laughing about it.

upfront. Time to make djt the loser and not others by refusing to pay them what they are owed.

djt has a long, long history of not paying contractors.

I hope that everyone gets the message that he's a bad credit risk, demand cash upfront or he's out of luck.

President Donald Trump publicly pledged “all the support of the federal government” on Saturday after 22 people were shot to death in an El Paso Walmart this weekend.

But his statements are prompting charges of hypocrisy because the city claims the president’s political campaign owes an outstanding debt from a February campaign rally — specifically, more than half a million dollars.

On Monday, an El Paso city official said Trump has yet to pay.

According to Laura Cruz-Acosta, communications manager for the El Paso city manager’s office, the president has an outstanding bill of $569,204.63 for police and public safety services associated with a February campaign rally.

“The city staff have followed the process and procedures as it relates to any invoicing that we provide, and we will continue to do so accordingly as per city and state policies,” Cruz-Acosta said. She said that Trump owed an initial fee of $470,417.05 but that the city tacked on a 21% one-time late fee in June — 30 days after the campaign failed to pay the initial amount owed.

But I think they used Covid as an excuse instead of not paying the costs.
