The deeper Murdoch/Fox goes down the rabbit hole, the fewer people will want to follow them.

Don't look down, that solid ground you are standing on is actually quicksand.
Rabbit hole, grave, quicksand - whatever, the final result will be the same. Feverish struggles will just hasten the end result.
Fox and its associated crazies will disappear from sight. And there will be a collective sigh of relief.
