Politics Girl on why we (Democrats) shouldn't run candidates in a primary against President Biden:
The first minute or so of the transcript:
we're in late stage capitalism with the corrupt Supreme Court on a knife's edge between autocracy and democracy and people want to spend a hundred million dollars to undermine our successful incumbent when the alternative is the twice impeached criminal ex-president or the man who is single-handedly turning Florida into a fascist dictatorship why
I know people are excited for fresh young Leaders with bright new ideas but those fresh young leaders will never get a chance if we don't protect democracy Now the fact is Joe Biden has gotten more accomplished in two years than any president in the history of presidents in an increasingly cynical World Joe Biden is a decent man with an incredible staff who knows what he's doing and has thoughtful plans for the future of this country that include women's rights and gay rights and workers rights and voters rights and higher minimum wage and lower health care costs and Environmental Protections

(2,217 posts)It's like the insane relationship triangles in High School where one of the kids thrives on keeping the drama going. The less credit we give pundits the better we are off. Consider how many of the pundits on our side have married horrid lying pundits on the other side. Sad to say, the pundits see more in common with their fellow pundits than they do the people they say they speak for.

(1,138 posts)no one should question President Biden's bona fides. He came out for marriage equality as vice president before President Obama or the Democratic Party had endorsed it. It is pretty much unheard of for a vice president to lead the way instead of the party or president, but Joe Biden stepped up, and right before elections too.
