Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO) - Timeshares

John Oliver discusses timeshares, how people get into them, why it’s so difficult to get out, and one exciting new business venture.

And here's a "bootleg" version of the show which includes John's initial comments on recent events including TFG's reaction to facing possible indictment and arrest, the differing explanations for the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and local news reactions to St. Patrick's Day. It won't last long, as usual:

That's the thing about John Oliver, he exposes abuses on subjects that no one else thinks of.

Like you, I've avoided time shares---but I have damn sure heard the tales of woe.

But I don't believe it, who in their right mind would agree to hours of a pressure sales pitch for tickets or a dinner?

And if you walk out before you don't get the fucking thing anyway.

They approached us in Vegas, my wife thought it would be okay to get tickets to a show, the idea of it almost ruined our vacation, we didn't go though.

The sales folk were salivating over our zip code... no deal. Free dinner though.
