Sen. Whitehouse Joins MSNBC's Katy Tur to Talk Ethics Reform at the Supreme Court - MSNBC Reports
April 14 - Senator Sheldon Whitehose (D-RI), joined MSNBC's Katy Tur to discuss Supreme Court ethics reform and holding Justice Clarence Thomas accountable for his brazen disregard for financial disclosure laws.
On Friday, sent a letter with Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) calling on the Judicial Conference to refer Justice Thomas to the U.S. Attorney General for potential violations of the Ethics in Government Act 1978.
Earlier on Friday, the New York Times Editorial Board released an editorial endorsing Whitehouse’s and Johnson’s Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency (SCERT) Act, which was reintroduced in February.
