Velshi: This single SCOTUS case could upend our entire regulatory system - Velshi - MSNBC

Under the Executive Branch, there are 15 departments, each of which is led by an appointed cabinet member. And within those departments, there are more than 400 distinct agencies and sub-agencies. This is the so-called “Administrative State” that the GOP has been pushing to reform for decades.

These agencies, among other functions, are the regulatory bodies on which we rely in nearly every aspect of our daily lives. Last week, the Supreme Court accepted a case that has the potential to upend our governments entire regulatory system. - Aired on 05/21/2023.

On things these days on their personal beliefs and not on the law, past and decided issues or the constitution. They have become what the Federalist Society wants this country to be. To be honest, I’m talking about the court’s majority, not all of them.

These recent anti-Democratic decisions are certainly unprecedented. And I feel sorry for the Obama appointees since they're inexplicably in the minority - and especially for Justice Brown Jackson who was such a stellar pick and she was so elated to be chosen.

As the court is being torn apart and disrespected. It’s gonna be a long, long time before we can get an actual chance at some kind of real just rulings

And if the justices remain as they are, I heard on one of the news shows (MSNBC) that it could remain this way for 40 years.
