The A.I. Mind Virus
It's well worth watching all 53 minutes of this. Gets better and better as you watch.
Key takeaways from the video expressed by someone in the comment section.
Three of my biggest concerns with AI:
1. Disinformation. It's already become such a big problem, I can only imagine people will use this to further that.
2. Human bias leaking through without us even knowing. The data sets AI are trained on are based on humans riddled with prejudice baked in. Quite nervous about this type of tech being implemented for things like job recruitment where it can easily execute this prejudice without intent on the human or AI's part.
3. Content generated from AI being taken as truth. Some of that was touched on in the video. With the rise in popularity for AI in 2023, I've seen so many people take what AI says at face value, when it is often wrong or misconstrued information presented as fact.
What not to worry about:
1. AI will decide to kill off humanity if it "feels" we are getting in its way to perform it's designated task.
