The very first time I saw him was on Nicolle Wallace's show - where he gave the best anti-TFG rant that I'd ever heard. I'm glad he's on our side...

Chris Licht's last job was executive producer of The Late Show. And both Colbert and Joe Scarborough told Licht not to take the job. Unfortunately, Colbert isn't on now due to the writers' strike. He's also friends with Anderson Cooper since they both lost their fathers at a young age. We sure could use the late night guys right now, they'd certainly have a lot to say about current events. *sigh*

I've been saying that for awhile. Schmidt goes on to say the Atlantic piece clearly shows that Licht doesn't understand the basics of journalism and that his "we make the news" approach is the exact opposite of what Ted Turner intended for CNN and shows his fundamental misunderstanding of the role of journalism.

Great takedown that is based on good journalism from the Atlantic. Recommended for anyone interested in this topic.

When Steve Schmidt speaks, I listen. He doesn’t mince words, doesn’t call a pile of dog crap a strawberry sundae.

The fact that Chris Licht would be willing to give air time to a dangerous fascist with a hand-picked audience tells me all I need to know. Neither Chris Licht nor his new 5-“star” Ms. Collins were no match for 10-star liar Donald Trump.

As I said above, I still remember the first time I saw him - it was on Nicolle Wallace's MSNBC show and he excoriated TFG with the best rant that I'd ever heard! And I've continued to be impressed ever since!

As for Chris Licht, his previous gig was as executive producer of Stephen Colbert's Late Show! And we sure miss the late night guys now since they'd not only be calling out these painful current events but we sure could use the humor!
