Trump called out his fellow Republicans for focusing on that nonsense and not knowing how to properly tell people what it means. Well folks, as the old expression goes, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. And I guess this week Donald Trump had his chance to actually be right for once when he called out his fellow conservatives for repeatedly using the word woke to describe pretty much anything they don't like, even though they can't actually define the word itself. Here is what Donald Trump told a crowd in Iowa this week. I don't like the term woke because I hear woke woke, woke. You know, it's like just a term that half the people can't even define it. They don't know what it is. He's right, they don't. I mean, Ron DeSantis own legal team was asked by a judge to define the word woke in court and they couldn't do it. So he's about as right as humanly possible about this because conservatives, yeah, everything they don't like is woke. It's a rainy day. It ruined our picnic plans. Ah, it's that woke weather. Oh no. Target has rainbows. They've gone woke. Disney is woke. And in fact, that actually brings up a really good point because as much as Donald Trump says he hates the word woke, which he said this week again Thursday, it was um, he also used the word just a few days before that on truth social, when he called Disney woke and disgusting shadow of its former self.

So four days before you said you hate the word woke cuz nobody can even define what it means. It's used to describe everything. It's stupid. Four days prior to that you actually called Disney woke. Did you forget about that? Or did you think your own followers were too stupid to know that you're also using a word that you clearly cannot define? Because I don't know, that kind of seems like a big deal if you're gonna call out everybody else in your party for being stupid and rightfully so. Then you also have to not be stupid and use the stupid word, but you did use the stupid word. So your criticism is also of course, applied back onto you because you're using that word as well. But I think we all know that Donald Trump is not talking about himself. Hell, Donald Trump's not even talking about most of the other people who you, as the word woke. Donald Trump really was talking about one person and one person alone. And that, of course was his Republican rival, Ron DeSantis DeSantis, who has famously said, Florida is where Woke goes to die. Even though, as I mentioned, his own legal team cannot define the word woke, but it doesn't matter because Florida's where it comes to die, cuz Florida's apparently where everything comes to die, including more than 90,000 people of Covid on Ron DeSantis

Watch. But that's what Donald Trump was doing. He was calling out Ron DeSantis for using this word over and over and over again, only to describe things he doesn't like. And Republicans use this word Ron DeSantis included. Trump included all of them. They used the word woke to basically shut down discussion so that they don't actually have to understand and comprehend things. They just slap that label like, oh, it's woke. They use that word also, just like we've seen recently with Target, and of course their Bud Light boycott, they use it as a mask for their bigotry, right? Like we can't come out and say that we don't like the L G B T Q community. So instead, anytime a company embraces that community, we'll just call them woke, right? We're masking our bigotry with that word woke. Well, you're not doing a very good job masking your bigotry, but that is what you're trying to do. You're trying to shut down conversations. You're throwing that word out so you don't have to elaborate so that you don't actually have to understand things you say woke. It shuts down the conversation with your base. And those morons eat it up and Donald Trump knows that better than anybody, but he still has to come out against it because that is basically the only talking point that his top rival Ron DeSantis has at the moment.
