(1,096 posts)No matter how many times I watch it I always laugh. Probably because it reminds me of many people I have known, who argue in circles seemingly for the sake of arguing. "The Cheese Shop" is another great one.

(776 posts)This one and the "Cheese Shop" are two of my absolute favourite Monty Python sketches (add to that the one with the newly-weds wanting to buy a mattress and the silly job interview).
I was surprised to find out that John Cleese, after writing the "Cheese Shop" sketch, didn't like it much and wasn't planning on actually filming it. He changed his mind when, during the group reading, Michael Palin laughed so hard that he fell off his chair.
