#IdleNoMore Scuffle at the MN Capitol (it affects Native lands in Canada & reservation land in MN)

Activists from #IdleNoMore and the MN State Patrol tasked with guarding the Capitol building had an altercation on opening day of the legislature. The troopers were attempting to vacate the drummers citing sound permit restrictions. The activists briefly halted drumming, but quickly resumed and successfully defended the ritual by creating an impressive wall of people to prevent further interference.

Idle No More is an ongoing protest movement originating among the Aboriginal peoples in Canada comprising the First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples and their non-Aboriginal supporters in Canada, and to a lesser extent, internationally.
