When it's 25 or below, I bring out my sweat pants!

The rest of the time, it's jeans.

I'm only asking because it was 25 this morning and 70% of the women I see on campus are wearing them...

4. Years ago we had something like those and we wore them under our slacks for extra warmth.

Seems we called them "tights".

LEggings and yoga pants are comfortable.

Maybe it is my body type, but I can't find a pair of tights/stockings that are not torture devices. I have yet to find a pair that fits right.

6. Don't be silly, you can buy winter weight yoga pants with a warm lining.

These are made from heavyweight fabrics lined with soft fleece or flannel, even sherpa, some are fleece inside and out. They can be worn on the outside, or under cold weather gear for added warmth.

Forgive me, it's not like I'm running my fingers inside them when I'm shopping to see how warm they are.

In sunny, but very chilly California, they are very useful.

8. I only wear them around the house

Actually, I bought them when I had surgery that left me with an abdominal catheter, and I had to go back to work. Big enough and loose enough to hide everything.

When the catheter was removed, I never wore them out of the house again.

The bigger question is... "what's up w/ the leggings?" Tight and not flattering to most women.

Yoga pants would have been wimping out.

Don't wear them myself, but I understand they're as effective as sweat pants for warmth and look ever so much better.

Most of the very young women I work with wear leggings and tunics and they look great. Me: I'm not overweight (by much, anyway) but I just don't feel right wearing them at work. I have done it but felt naked from the waist down, kind of like in a bad dream. I say wear what makes you feel good.
