Doc English rarely used Novocain. I remember the hypo having rust spots on it!

No wonder it was scary. My dentist didn't smell like smoke, booze, and piss, though. Going to a non-stinky dentist was bad enough.

chewed gum and hummed constantly AND DIDN'T USE NOVOCAIN.
I have one simple rule about dentists. I don't go unless I can't stand the pain anymore.
