The Dark Crystal - a live-action (not animated) family picture in which the entire cast is Jim Henson Muppet-puppets, or characters in puppet-outfits. An awesome story with a happy ending, but perhaps a little too scary for kids younger than 9 or 10.
I remember that my 12-year old son loved it when the movie came out, but it's not shown on TV too often. Must have something to do with the rights I guess. Jim Henson died over 20 years ago, and his son is making the Henson productions now.
