HO and Lionel ...long tracks, short ones, on the ground, and on a board (5 x 10 foot board)... Watching the track on the video, if done by one person..took many weeks. It depends on how much time devoted to the project per day and so on. How much planning.. getting the equipment, making sure the track worked..etc.

If you noticed on the video there was more than one train going as we went around the layout....Which was HUGE..!!!!!!!! -- inside and outside of the house, multiple tracks, and multiple trains...switches..under lots of furniture, and everything else.. Now, you can higher a company to set it up, so it would be less time, but it would still take a couple of weeks,.even if 2 or 3 people worked on it.. Why that long?...planning, laying the track down, getting everything to work, etc. etc. Note..there was a lot of track outside of the house, running though grass.. That takes additional work and planning.

If you think it was done in a day...no way.

So many tracks, so many different routes...That set up took weeks, if not months..It was a great video to watch and wonder about. Also, one other idea..that layout all over...was..not cheap!!!

With all the track, and multiple trains running if you saw them..inside and outside the house, around the swimming pool..ok...thousands of dollars ...many thousands of dollars.. It is a hobby that people spend huge amounts of time and money on.
