(22,144 posts)Grandparents watching Studio Wrestling, rooting for Bruno and yelling in Slovak "Tear his hair out!" "Break his back!" "Beat him!" All the while my siblings and I laughing until we cried.

(35,338 posts)back in the 60s. American heating sponsored it and Pie Traynor was their spokesperson "Who can?" "American". Bruno was my favorite, I saw him in a newspaper article a few years ago he still stayed in shape clear into his 70s. RIP

(841 posts)I didn't start watching pro wrestling until the 1980s but I like watching some of the pre-Hulkamania stuff and reading books and listening to podcasts about wrestling and Bruno was a big, big star. In the Northeast he was the biggest attraction for sure.
RIP champ.
