2. Go old school and buy a large external hard drive (or two preferablly as they do sometimes go bad)

It is more hassle, but then you have control. You'd probably still be able to back up your iphone to the cloud (though I'd also do some on a physical drive) without being charged, if you primarily back up computers to the external drive.

I've broken it down into as many steps as I can imagine and google each step. So, for instance, google how do I unsync my IPAD from my IMAC. OR, if you just want to sync to another cheaper cloud service, google that.

I have an ipad, but I don't have a MAC, but rather PC laptops, so I've had to occasionally search for those who can tell me how to work with both. And believe me, there is some excellent step by step info out there. And, undoubtedly plenty of people like yourself looking for alternatives to your cloud service.

Really, accomplish one part of the big picture and you'll less "afloat".

Sorry, but this doesn't sound like something I can answer simply, but I know the info is out there and can save you a lot of $$ from having to hire a Geek squad type service..

Good luck!

Divorce the cloud when you're done.

I have nothing in the cloud, nothing, if it had an issue and all was erased.......

I just didn't go full digital because of that.

Good luck, I do mean that.

Save everything on them. 2nd one is for back-up in case one goes bad. I want nothing out there in a cloud. Unfortunately that's only for my laptop. But that's where I do a lot of stuff on excel, word and a couple of other softwares. Have nothing on my ipad or iphone except my contacts which I know are sent to the cloud. But if that's all, I can live with that.
